When: Second and fourth Saturday of each month, 10 AM – 12 PM

November 8 and 22
December 13 and 27
Where: Peter Maurin Center, 1096 Old S. Main Street, Akron
Our Food Pantry provides fresh groceries, canned goods, meat, dairy, and seasonal produce to families experiencing food insecurity in Greater Akron. In partnership with the Akron/Canton Food Bank, we serve over 100 families each distribution day.
What We Provide
- Fresh produce when available
- Protein sources including meat and dairy
- Pantry staples and canned goods
- Household essentials
- Special dietary items when possible
Our Impact
- 180,000 pounds of groceries distributed in 2024
- Over 100 families served each distribution
- Consistent service twice monthly for years
The Food Pantry operates with dignity and respect, ensuring families can select items that meet their specific needs and preferences. Our volunteers create a welcoming environment where every family is treated as valued community members.
