Emergency Lodging
Emergency Lodging
When We Provide Emergency Lodging
In extreme circumstances, PMC provides temporary motel lodging for women experiencing homelessness until we can secure transitional housing. This emergency intervention prevents women from sleeping outdoors during their most vulnerable moments.

When We Provide Emergency Lodging
- Women facing immediate homelessness with no alternative shelter
- Dangerous weather conditions threatening safety
- Medical conditions requiring indoor accommodation
- Domestic violence situations requiring immediate safety
- Transition periods while permanent housing is arranged
Our Collaborative Approach
We work closely with other community agencies to help individuals move from emergency lodging into stable, long-term housing solutions. Emergency lodging is always coupled with case management and resource navigation to address underlying causes of homelessness.
Beyond Temporary Housing
Emergency lodging provides breathing room to:
- Connect with housing assistance programs
- Access medical and mental health services
- Gather required documentation for housing applications
- Develop sustainable plans for long-term stability
Gender-Specific Support
We recognize that women experiencing homelessness often face unique safety challenges and may require specialized resources. Our emergency lodging program addresses these specific vulnerabilities while connecting women with appropriate long-term support services.
