The Peter Maurin Center serves as more than a service provider—we’re a true community hub where individuals and families find acceptance, resources, and belonging.
Open Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 11 AM – 12 PM.
Our Facilities Include
- Dining Area: Space for fellowship during meals and community gatherings
- Community Room: Available for meetings, support groups, and special events
- Kitchen Facilities: Where volunteers prepare thousands of meals annually
- Resource Area: Information and assistance with community services
- Community Park & Garden: Peaceful outdoor space for relaxation and socialization
Community Programs
- Bible Study: Tuesday mornings for spiritual growth and community
- Health Screenings: Regular health monitoring with our registered nurse
- Community Meetings: Space for local organizations and support groups
- Special Events: Holiday celebrations and community building activities

Community Garden
Located at the corner of Old South Main Street and Long Street, our community garden partnership with Let’s Grow Akron provides fresh vegetables and a peaceful environment for all who visit.
